Countdown

That's right -- it's countdown to no more poopy undies time! I'm pulling out all of the stops. This is a test of wills and I think that I may break soon if we can't pull this off. I would like to say that I'm the boss and that I'm going to win, but it seems my son may have my same attitude. Great. We're in for it.

You'll notice that there is one sticker and one apple on the chart (in the basket with the #1 on it). Yep. One potty down, 99 to go.

Sorry about the potty talk.....but this is what is taking over our lives these days. Sometimes I forget that I have a life outside of poop, Thomas the train and Buzz Lightyear undies, and stickers for the pooping board. My 20 year old self never saw this coming.

Surfing cowboy

Here I thought I was something for being able to learn to surf at 30 years old. Well....I've been outdone by a 2 year old. Thank god it was my 2 year old so I can at least claim that he received all of his talents from me. :) He went with Amos for his first surfing lesson.....the first go round was a wipe out with Cash screaming bloody murder for Daddy. So into the boat he went. Then Amos surfed on his own and Cash decided it was too cool not to try again, so out he went one more time. This time it was for real. They stayed up and Cash had a great time. He thought it was funny to kick his feet in the spray of the wake. Fun times for everyone! When we got home, he took Bodie out for a quick ride with his new little guy stirrups strapped over my saddle horn. Another good time. Our little surfing cowboy.

Potty Training

If he's peeing in the potty. Good.

If he's making it through the night. Awesome.

If he pees his pants once a day. You're the best.

If he poops in his pants while you're sitting right there after you've sat in the bathroom for a half hour. Go out for a beer.

The end.

Good luck with your potty training adventures. Don't call me for advice. I am at a loss for words for the first time in my life.

Birthday buddies

Last weekend we had a party for Landyn (our god daughter and Cash's first and last girlfriend -- we've got a little arranged marriage going here). The 2 kids had a great time and we found out that sidewalk chalk can easily be removed from decks, houses, car tires, and even windowsills. Who would've thought? I love whoever created easy to remove kid stuff. They deserve a nobel peace prize.

This weekend....big boy undies time. We're doing it. Cold turkey. We've lined our entire house in newspaper. Wish us luck.

Slapped around

Apparently I have a little wild sleeping problem. Who knows. I won't confirm or deny.....nor can Brent....but he swears this evidence shows that I really did hit him in the middle of the night. Thank god we have a spare bedroom. Guess he'll be moving to the basement. :) And I'd also like to mention that if I were on top of my game, I'd have had the laundry done before the picture was taken. Amen.

FORE!!

Flathead Lake

Fair's fair....that's what my Mom always said. Or was it, Life isn't fair!?? I don't know...maybe I'm making it all up. Either way -- tried to make sure we have equal amounts of photos of cute kids. :) This is an old one....in fact it may already be on the blog, but it sure is cute!

Two girlies goofing off in their hats.

Hang Ten, Mama!!!

Run Cash, run. Wait, don't run, you're on a dock ya nut! In fact, Cash threw himself overboard while we were out there (nobody panic, he was wearing a life vest in the shallow end). He looked just like a scuba diver, sitting on the edge and just plopping over backward. Don't worry, I saved his life.....well, the lifejacket did and I plucked him out of the water. Then he proceeded to tell everyone that Mama saved him. I love being his favorite, even if it's only for a few seconds.

See the Osprey, Daddy?!? See it?!?

A little fun time with Tashena.

Cash and Maci having breakfast -- she looks jealous doesn't she? I think we're going to try out some real food soon.

No, he's not doing anything bad, but it sure looks like he is working on it. He might have been getting ready to color on the table, but I'm sure we caught him.

Update: Maci is rolling over at will now. She started rolling over a few weeks ago, but is now much more excited to do it. She is a sweet, sweet little girl....just like her mama.
